Students should familiarize themselves with the following terms and conditions before the use of Zombi Kite instructional services:
-All pre-booked lessons require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations
-Students must be at least 12 years old and know how to swim
-We reserve the right to cancel and or postpone a lesson at anytime due to adverse conditions and excessive wind speeds
-We do not teach in wind speeds exceeding 25 knots
-All students must sign our liability release waiver and turn it in prior to the start of the lesson
-Before departing the dock we assess the conditions with the student to see if there is sufficient breeze. If the wind speed is marginal yet the student wishes to go on with the lesson and we leave the dock, the student will be charged a $50 fuel fee if the lesson cannot be held due to lack of wind. The student may choose to finish out the hour wakeboarding or going over classroom topics at the standard lesson rate ($120/hr)
-We do not provide wetsuits/foul weather gear for students. It is the responsibility of the student to come prepared for the marine environment they will encounter. We highly recommend: dry stuff (towels, dry change of clothes, hoodie or windbreaker), sun stuff (sunblock, sunglasses, sun shirt/rash guard, hat etc.), wet stuff (boardshorts, rash guards, wetsuit tops etc.) and footwear: water shoes or booties
-All students wearing a wetsuit MUST wear boardshorts OVER their wetsuit. NO EXCEPTIONS! Students showing up for lessons without boardshorts will be required to purchase a new pair from Zombi Kite. Our selection of kiteboarding specific boardshorts by KITADDICT can be found in the Zombi Kite e-Store.
-All lessons must be paid in full by the completion of the lesson. We currently accept cash, check and credit cards via our PayPal account (ZombiKite@gmail.com)
-With regards to the 5-Day Kite Camp:
- A 35% deposit is due one week prior to the start date. The remaining balance is due on the first day of instruction
- There are no make-ups for the 5-Day camp. If there is insufficient wind for kiting students will participate in classroom style lectures or go wakeboarding behind our chase boat
-“Kite Sherpa” (supervised riding at a local kite beach) is designed for Zombi clients who have reached (or nearly reached) IKO Level 3-J. Students must provide proof of achieving this level or be prepared to pass a skills assessment prior to the start of the session
-All students must take their first lesson on Zombi Kite gear. Students who have their own gear may use it on subsequent lessons provided it is in good working condition, incorporates all modern safety systems and has been tested by Zombi Kite staff
-Zombi Kite is not responsible for loss or damage to a students personal equipment during lessons
